In 2020, Data Natives faced a major shift—taking their annual event, typically held at Station Berlin, to an online format for the first time. The key challenge was to keep the event engaging while staying true to its core mission of bringing together creatives, data scientists, and professionals from different industries to collaborate and share ideas.
Approach
Creating a custom event & membership platform with personalization and matchmaking.
We built a custom event and membership platform designed to foster community interaction. The platform integrated live-streaming technology, chat functionality, and a matchmaking solution that helped attendees connect with like-minded professionals based on their interests. Personalization was central to the experience—each user had a tailored journey on the platform, supported by personalized email funnels that provided relevant updates and information.
Beyond the platform, we managed marketing campaigns to promote the event, ensuring consistent messaging across channels and driving ticket sales while maintaining the event’s distinctive tone and audience reach.
Impact
3,000 Attendees, 20+ Sessions, and Unmatched Engagement
Data Natives Unlimited brought together over 3,000 participants and featured more than 150 speakers across 20+ online and hybrid sessions. We created an interactive space that kept attendees engaged throughout the event, with chat functionality and the matchmaking feature boosting participation and networking. Thanks to our press release efforts, the event was also successfully mentioned in key media outlets.
Through our collaboration, we ensured Data Natives maintained its signature atmosphere of collaboration, bringing professionals from various sectors together in a dynamic, interactive digital environment.
