New website for CenaCom: making dispute resolution easy to access

Challenge

Modern dispute resolution needs modern digital processes

CenaCom is a state-recognised dispute resolution body and one of Germany’s leading providers of out-of-court conflict resolution. It operates to the highest standards and is an important point of contact for businesses. However, its website no longer reflected that ambition: content had grown organically over many years, and the structure had become difficult to navigate.

CenaCom needed a modern website that communicates expertise and gives businesses fast access to the right information. In addition, the entire application process was to be fully digitised. Interested parties should be able to apply for a dispute resolution procedure (previously referred to as a conciliation procedure) completely online.

Our brief: update the CI guide, restructure the website, migrate content, and develop a digital application form.

Approach

New information architecture, clear design and custom plugins

We developed a new information architecture for the website. Content was reorganised, updated and rewritten in a clear, accessible way. Alongside revising existing pages, we added additional information and designed new user journeys.

The design is spacious, bright and approachable. It conveys clarity and neutrality — key qualities for a dispute resolution body. Using AI-assisted image generation, we significantly expanded the existing visual library.

We built a custom form that allows users to create and submit an application for conciliation quickly and easily online. We also created more than 15 landing pages for specific topics, procedures and target groups.

For the site, we developed a bespoke glossary plugin that automatically links key terms and connects related articles systematically. In addition, we built a custom plugin for structured schema markup, ensuring content is technically clean and optimised for search engines.

Impact

Clear positioning and easier access to the procedure

Today, CenaCom has a modern web presence that makes its expertise visible. The new information architecture supports businesses with clear user guidance.

The digital application form shortens the path into the procedure. Topic-specific landing pages improve discoverability via search engines and enable more targeted communication for different audiences. The plugins we developed strengthen both internal linking and the site’s technical SEO quality.

The website is built to be future-proof and can be extended flexibly. CenaCom is now also cited by ChatGPT as a relevant source for out-of-court dispute resolution.
